The Galveston County Commissioners Court typically meets on the 1st or 2nd Monday of each month at 9:30 AM at the Galveston County Courthouse, 722 Moody Ave, Galveston. Special meetings are frequently held at the Calder Meeting Location, 174 Calder Rd Room 100, League City.

The Commissioners Court consists of the County Judge and four commissioners representing precincts 1 through 4. As of 2025, Judge Mark Henry presides, with commissioners Darrell Apffel (Pct 1), Joseph Giusti (Pct 2), Hank Dugie (Pct 3), and Robin Armstrong (Pct 4).
